A letter

Nothing is happening? This is the step everyone skips

Prefer to listen? Watch the 60-second version.

If you've been imagining it for weeks and your life looks exactly the same — you didn't fail. You skipped a step.

Your mind already says: I have it. But your body is still asking one quiet question: is it safe to have it?

Until the body says yes, you'll keep "letting go"… and secretly checking. That checking isn't impatience. It's a nervous system that hasn't been told the danger is over.

The step

Put a hand on your chest.

Say your assumption — once.

Now do nothing with your mind. Just notice the body: a tight jaw, a held breath, a little bracing in the shoulders.

Breathe in for four. Out for longer. Again. One more.

And say, quietly: it's already done, and I'm safe.

The gap isn't the universe testing you. It's your body finishing the sentence.

Why this works when more visualising doesn't

Every technique you've learned works on the picture. This one works on the permission. A body that is braced treats the wish like a threat and keeps you scanning for proof; a body that has softened stops scanning, and that is what "letting go" actually is — not a decision, a state.

Do this tonight, before you sleep, and watch what changes by the weekend.

Warmly,
Monika
